Your projects, materials, stock, parts, plans, cut sessions, offcuts, and history stay on your device. The only network feature is feedback you choose to submit.

The short version
Cutting Data CutSlate Handles
CutSlate stores the project names, material profiles, stock and offcut dimensions, part names and dimensions, quantities, kerf, trim, grain and rotation constraints, generated plans, cut-session events, offcut lineage, history, and display preferences that you enter or create. It does not read contacts, location, calendars, messages, or unrelated files.
Local Storage
Your workshop data is stored locally in CutSlate's private app container on your iPhone or iPad. CutSlate has no account, cloud sync, advertising, or analytics and does not upload your projects, inventory, plans, sessions, or history to ApplyAI servers.
On-Device Planning
Sheet and linear plans are calculated entirely on your device with deterministic integer measurements. CutSlate validates placement, overlap, kerf, trim, grain, rotation, and material conservation, but it is not CNC control or professional safety advice. Verify every plan, measurement, tool setup, and cut before working.
Exports, Backups, and Imports
PDF and CSV project exports and complete JSON backups are created only when you request them. You choose where to save or share each file. CutSlate reads an import only after you select it, validates its schema and checksum, and shows a preview and conflict choices before merging or replacing local data.
Optional Feedback
If you submit in-app feedback, CutSlate sends your message, optional email address, selected screenshots, app version, operating-system version, device model, locale, and App Attest security proof to the ApplyAI support service. Project, inventory, plan, session, history, backup, PDF, and CSV data are never attached automatically. We use submitted information only for support, defect investigation, abuse prevention, and app improvement.
Screenshots You Select
CutSlate can access only up to three feedback screenshots that you explicitly select with Apple's system photo picker. Removing an image or cancelling a feedback draft requests deletion of uploaded draft screenshots; unattached draft uploads are automatically removed after 24 hours.
Diagnostics and App Attest
CutSlate includes no third-party analytics or advertising SDK. App Attest supplies app and device integrity evidence for optional feedback submissions and is used for abuse prevention, not cross-app tracking.
Paid App Store Download
CutSlate is a USD 0.99 paid App Store download, with Apple-equivalent prices in other regions. Apple completes the purchase before installation. The app contains no in-app purchase, subscription, paywall, receipt, or transaction verification, so CutSlate sends ApplyAI no purchase data.
Retention and Deletion
Local CutSlate data remains until you replace it with an import or remove the app. Exported files remain wherever you chose to save them. Submitted feedback is kept only as reasonably needed to respond, investigate defects, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.
Permissions
Core planning requires no camera, contacts, location, microphone, broad photo-library, notification, or account access. Apple's system photo picker appears only when you choose feedback screenshots.
Children
CutSlate is a general-audience workshop utility and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Policy Changes
We may update this policy when CutSlate or its data practices change. The current version will remain available on this page with a revised update date.
