WrenchTrail is a fully offline vehicle maintenance and ownership log. This policy explains what you can store on your device and when you can choose to export it.

Privacy at a glance

Vehicles, odometer readings, plans, service history, and costs are stored only on your device.

We do not collect, sell, or share personal data, and WrenchTrail makes no network requests.

You can edit, delete, back up, export, or erase your local records whenever you choose.

Data WrenchTrail Handles

WrenchTrail stores the vehicle nickname, make, model, year, optional plate note, odometer readings, maintenance plans, service dates, costs, currencies, provider names, notes, and preferences that you enter. This information is used only to calculate due status, organize service history, and summarize ownership costs on your device.

Local Storage Only

All app data is stored in WrenchTrail's private local container on your iPhone or iPad. The app has no account, cloud sync, advertising SDK, analytics service, or network feature.

No Collection, Sharing, or Sale

We do not receive, sell, rent, trade, or share your vehicle records or personal data. Because WrenchTrail sends no app data to us, there is nothing for us to profile or sell.

Optional Notifications

WrenchTrail requests notification permission only if you turn on a date-based maintenance reminder. Reminders are scheduled locally by iOS. Denying permission does not block any record-keeping feature, and you can change notification access in System Settings.

User-Initiated Exports

You can choose to create a JSON backup or CSV service export and share it through the iOS share sheet. WrenchTrail does not upload these files. You select the destination, and that destination's privacy practices apply after you share.

Diagnostics and Support

WrenchTrail does not send analytics, diagnostics, or crash reports. If you contact us for support, you decide what screenshots, exports, or details to share, and we use them only to investigate your request.

On-Device Security

Your records remain in WrenchTrail's private app storage unless you explicitly export them. We recommend protecting your device with a passcode and storing exported backups only in locations you trust.

Children's Privacy

WrenchTrail does not collect information from anyone, including children. The app contains no account, advertising profile, or child-directed data collection.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy if WrenchTrail's features or data practices change. The current version will remain available on this page with its latest update date.
