Your client profiles, formulas, service history, notes, and result photos stay on your device. The only network feature is feedback you choose to submit.

The short version

Your TintSlate client ledger and result photos are stored in the app's private container on your iPhone or iPad.

Optional feedback sends only the message, diagnostics, contact address, and screenshots you choose.

You can edit profiles, append audit events, remove photos, export or restore a backup, clear the ledger, or remove the app whenever you choose.

Client and Formula Data TintSlate Handles

TintSlate stores the client display names, reference codes, tags, notes, service dates and names, processing times, result notes, formula bowls, product names, roles, exact weights, selected result photos, corrections, photo-removal events, and void events that you enter. These facts are used only to organize and review your private professional ledger. TintSlate does not identify clients, recommend formulas, evaluate chemical safety, replace manufacturer directions, or provide medical advice.

Local Storage

Your ledger and re-encoded result photos are stored locally in TintSlate's private app container on your iPhone or iPad. TintSlate has no account, cloud sync, advertising, analytics, AI service, or salon-system integration and does not upload client profiles, formulas, notes, service history, or result photos to ApplyAI servers.

PDFs, Backups, Imports, and Sharing

Client PDFs and checksum-verified backups are created only when you request them. You choose where to save or share each file. TintSlate reads an import only after you select it and validates its schema, paths, checksums, record identifiers, references, and photo completeness before performing a conflict-safe merge or atomic replacement. Files you export are governed by the destination you choose.

Optional Feedback

If you submit in-app feedback, TintSlate sends your message, optional email address, selected feedback screenshots, app version, operating-system version, device model, locale, and App Attest security proof to the ApplyAI support service. Client profiles, formulas, service history, notes, result photos, PDFs, and backups are not included. We use submitted information only for support, defect investigation, abuse prevention, and app improvement.

Photos and Selected Screenshots

TintSlate can access only images you explicitly select with Apple's system photo picker. Service result photos are re-encoded as JPEG, stripped of location and camera metadata, assigned app-generated filenames, and kept locally. Feedback screenshots are sent only when you submit that report. Unattached draft uploads are automatically removed after 24 hours.

Diagnostics and App Attest

TintSlate includes no third-party analytics or advertising SDK. When you enable diagnostics for optional feedback, they contain only the app version and build, iOS version, device model, and locale. App Attest supplies app and device integrity evidence for feedback abuse prevention and is not used for cross-app tracking.

Paid App Store Download

TintSlate is a USD 0.99 paid App Store download, with Apple-equivalent prices in other regions. Apple completes the purchase before installation. The app contains no in-app purchase, subscription, paywall, receipt, or transaction verification, so TintSlate sends ApplyAI no purchase data.

Retention and Deletion

Local TintSlate data remains until you delete a client or photo, clear the ledger, replace it with an import, or remove the app. Audit metadata can remain after a photo file is removed so the action stays traceable. Exported files remain wherever you chose to save them. Submitted feedback is kept only as reasonably needed to respond, investigate defects, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.

Permissions

The core ledger requires no camera, contacts, location, microphone, notification, full photo-library, or account access. Apple's system photo picker appears only when you choose service result photos or feedback screenshots, so TintSlate does not receive broad photo-library access.

Children

TintSlate is a general-audience professional productivity utility and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Policy Changes

We may update this policy when TintSlate or its data practices change. The current version will remain available on this page with a revised update date.
