TankTrace is a fully offline aquarium log for iPhone and iPad. This policy explains the records stored on your device and the user-controlled CSV export.

Privacy at a glance

Aquariums, readings, routines, livestock, notes, and preferences are stored only on your device.

We do not collect, sell, or share personal data, and TankTrace makes no network requests.

You can delete individual records or erase all app data, and CSV files leave the app only when you choose to share them.

Data TankTrace Handles

TankTrace stores the aquarium names, types, volumes, setup dates, water parameters and safe ranges, measurements, recurring maintenance routines and completion history, livestock entries, notes, and app preferences that you enter. This information is used only to organize records and calculate status, trends, and due dates on your device.

Local Storage Only

All TankTrace data is stored in the app's private local container on your iPhone or iPad. The app has no account, cloud sync, analytics, advertising SDKs, subscriptions, or network features, so your aquarium records do not leave your device automatically.

User-Controlled CSV Export

TankTrace creates a CSV file only after you choose Export. The file is handed to Apple's system share sheet, where you decide whether and where to save or send it. TankTrace does not upload the file or retain a server copy.

No Collection, Sharing, or Sale

We do not receive, sell, rent, trade, or share your aquarium information or personal data. TankTrace contains no advertising, cross-app tracking, or profiling technology.

System Permissions

TankTrace does not request access to contacts, camera, microphone, photos, location, Bluetooth, notifications, health data, or tracking. It works without an account or internet connection.

Diagnostics and Support

TankTrace does not send analytics, diagnostics, or crash reports. If you contact us for support, you decide what screenshots or details to share, and we use them only to investigate your request.

On-Device Security

Your records remain in TankTrace's private app storage. We recommend protecting your device with a passcode and keeping an appropriate device backup. TankTrace is a record-keeping aid, not veterinary or professional aquarium advice.

Children's Privacy

TankTrace is rated for ages four and above and does not collect information from anyone, including children. No account, advertising profile, or child-directed data collection is present in the app.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy if TankTrace's features or data practices change. The current version will remain available on this page with its latest update date.
