Privacy at a glance

Stocktake sessions stay in private storage on your device.
We do not collect, share, or sell personal data.
You decide what to import, export, edit, or delete.

Data StockSlate handles

StockSlate stores the session names, item names, SKUs or barcodes, expected quantities, counted quantities, and correction history that you enter. This information exists only to provide the inventory workflow you request.

Local storage only

Inventory data is saved in the app's private storage on your device. StockSlate has no account system, backend, cloud sync, advertising, or analytics service and does not upload your inventory.

Camera and barcode scanning

StockSlate asks for camera access only when you open the barcode scanner. Video frames are processed live by Apple's on-device barcode APIs, are not saved, and are not transmitted. You can always count items manually instead.

CSV import and export

CSV files are read only after you choose them with the system file picker. Exports are created locally and leave your device only when you choose a destination in the system share sheet.

No collection or sale

We do not receive your inventory, personal information, identifiers, usage activity, or location. Because StockSlate does not collect this information, there is nothing for us to sell or share with third parties.

Diagnostics and support

StockSlate contains no third-party tracking or analytics SDKs and does not send crash reports to us. If you contact support, you decide what information to include, and we use it only to answer your request.

Security and deletion

Your data is protected by iOS and iPadOS app sandboxing and your device security. You can delete sessions inside StockSlate; uninstalling the app removes its local data according to the operating system's normal behavior.

Children's privacy

StockSlate is a general business utility and is not directed to children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children or anyone else.

Changes to this policy

If StockSlate's data practices change, we will update this policy and the date shown above before the revised practices apply.
