Your machines, test sessions, runs, setup cards, maintenance facts, photos, and audit history stay on your device. The only network feature is feedback you choose to submit.

Sewing data SeamSlate handles
SeamSlate stores the machines, maintenance facts, test sessions, sequential runs, setup cards, tags, notes, and outcomes you enter. A run can include frozen machine, fabric-layer, needle, thread, presser-foot, stitch, numeric-setting, observation, and selected-photo details plus linked correction, void, and restore revisions.
Local storage
Your ledger and selected sewing photos are stored in SeamSlate's private App container on your iPhone or iPad. SeamSlate has no account, cloud sync, advertising, or analytics and does not upload your sewing ledger to ApplyAI servers.
Exports, backups, and imports
SeamSlate creates readable text, CSV, or a complete checksum-verified backup only when you request it. You choose where each file is saved or shared. An import is read only after you select it and is validated and previewed before you explicitly merge or replace local records. A pre-import rollback copy remains local until another import, rollback, or clear operation.
Optional feedback
If you submit feedback in the App, SeamSlate sends your message, optional email address, selected screenshots, and—only when you leave diagnostics enabled—the App version, operating-system version, device family, and locale. An App Attest integrity proof is sent to ApplyAI support for abuse prevention. Your sewing ledger is never attached.
Photos and feedback screenshots you select
SeamSlate can access only sewing photos or feedback screenshots you explicitly choose through Apple's system photo picker. Feedback accepts up to three screenshots. Selected images are redrawn to remove metadata before storage or upload; a failed or cancelled submission requests deletion of any temporary feedback uploads.
Diagnostics and App Attest
SeamSlate includes no third-party analytics or advertising SDK. App Attest supplies an App and device integrity proof only for optional feedback abuse prevention and is not used to track you across apps. You can turn off the readable diagnostic fields before submitting feedback.
Paid App Store download
SeamSlate is a USD 0.99 paid download in the United States App Store, with Apple's equivalent pricing elsewhere. Apple completes the purchase before installation. The App has no in-app purchases, subscriptions, paywalls, receipt validation, or transaction processing, so SeamSlate sends no purchase data to ApplyAI.
Retention and deletion
Local records, photos, recovery copies, and preferences remain until you clear them, replace them through an import, or remove the App. Exported files remain wherever you choose to save them. Submitted feedback is retained only as reasonably necessary to respond, investigate defects, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.
Permissions
The core ledger needs no camera, contacts, location, microphone, notification, broad photo-library, or account permission. Apple's system photo picker appears only when you choose sewing photos or feedback screenshots, so the App receives only the images you select.
Children
SeamSlate is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect children's personal information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when SeamSlate or its data handling changes. The current version will remain available on this page with a revised update date.
