Your green coffee inventory, roaster profiles, manual roast records, cupping observations, and correction ledger stay on your device. The only network feature is feedback you choose to submit.

Coffee-roasting facts RoastSlate handles
RoastSlate stores the green-lot origin and inventory movements, roaster profiles, frozen snapshots, manual events and readings, completed or aborted results, factual calculations, cupping observations, and linked create, void, replacement, and restore corrections you enter. RoastSlate does not connect to, probe, or control roasting equipment and does not generate roasting advice.
Local storage
Your ledger is stored in RoastSlate's private App container on your iPhone or iPad. RoastSlate has no account, cloud sync, advertising, or analytics and does not upload your lots, equipment, roasts, or cupping records to ApplyAI servers.
Exports, backups, and imports
RoastSlate creates RFC 4180 CSV or a complete SHA-256 checksum-verified JSON backup only when you request it. You choose where each file is saved or shared. An import is read only after you select it and is validated and previewed before you explicitly merge or replace local records.
Optional feedback
If you submit feedback in the App, RoastSlate sends your message, optional email address, selected screenshots, App version, operating-system version, device model, locale, and App Attest integrity proof to ApplyAI support. We use this only for support, defect investigation, abuse prevention, and App improvement.
Feedback screenshots you select
RoastSlate can access only the feedback screenshots you explicitly choose through Apple's system photo picker, up to three per submission. Removing a screenshot or cancelling a draft requests deletion of its uploaded draft image; unattached draft uploads are automatically removed after 24 hours.
Diagnostics and App Attest
RoastSlate includes no third-party analytics or advertising SDK. App Attest supplies an App and device integrity proof only for optional-feedback abuse prevention and is not used to track you across apps.
Paid App Store download
RoastSlate is a USD 0.99 paid download in the United States App Store, with Apple's equivalent pricing elsewhere. Apple completes the purchase before installation. The App has no in-app purchases, subscriptions, paywalls, receipt validation, or transaction processing, so RoastSlate sends no purchase data to ApplyAI.
Retention and deletion
Local records remain until you clear them, replace them with an imported backup, or remove the App. Exported files remain wherever you choose to save them. Submitted feedback is retained only as reasonably necessary to respond, investigate defects, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.
Permissions
The core roast ledger needs no camera, contacts, Health, location, microphone, notification, broad photo-library, Bluetooth, motion, or account permission. Apple's system photo picker appears only when you choose feedback screenshots, so the App receives only the images you select.
Children
RoastSlate is a general-audience coffee record utility and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect children's personal information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when RoastSlate or its data handling changes. The current version will remain available on this page with a revised update date.
