Your stations, operating sessions, QSOs, revisions, imports, and derived facts remain on your device. The only network feature is feedback you explicitly choose to submit.

Your QSOSlate log is stored in the app’s private container on your iPhone or iPad.

Optional feedback sends only the message, contact address, screenshots, and diagnostics you choose.

You can edit, export, restore, erase all local data, or remove the app at any time.

Radio Log Data QSOSlate Handles

QSOSlate stores the station names, call signs, Maidenhead grid squares, equipment, antennas, power values, operating sessions, UTC timestamps, contacted call signs, bands, frequencies, modes, signal reports, names, QTH values, notes, revisions, void and restore events, and imported ADIF fields that you enter. These facts are used only to maintain your private amateur radio log.

Local Storage

Your log is stored locally in QSOSlate’s private app container on your iPhone or iPad. QSOSlate has no account, cloud sync, advertising, or analytics and does not upload stations, sessions, QSOs, or backup files to ApplyAI servers.

Backups, Imports, and Sharing

ADIF, CSV, readable text, and checksum-verified complete backups are created only when you request them. You choose where to save or share each file. QSOSlate reads an import only after you select it, validates required fields or the backup schema and checksum, and shows a preview before merging or replacing local records.

Optional Feedback

If you submit in-app feedback, QSOSlate sends your message, optional email address, selected screenshots, app version, operating-system version, device model, locale, and App Attest security proof to the ApplyAI support service. We use this information only for support, defect investigation, abuse prevention, and app improvement.

Screenshots You Select

QSOSlate can access only images you explicitly select with Apple’s system photo picker for a feedback report. Removing or cancelling a feedback draft requests deletion of uploaded draft screenshots; unattached draft uploads are automatically removed after 24 hours.

Diagnostics and App Attest

QSOSlate includes no third-party analytics or advertising SDK. App Attest supplies app and device integrity evidence for optional feedback submissions and is used for abuse prevention, not cross-app tracking.

Paid App Store Download

QSOSlate is a USD 0.99 paid App Store download, with Apple-equivalent prices in other regions. Apple completes the purchase before installation. The app contains no in-app purchase, subscription, paywall, receipt, or transaction verification, so QSOSlate sends ApplyAI no purchase data.

Retention and Deletion

Local QSOSlate data remains until you erase it, replace it with an import, or remove the app. Exported files remain wherever you chose to save them. Submitted feedback is kept only as reasonably needed to respond, investigate defects, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.

Permissions

The core radio-log workflow requires no camera, contacts, location, microphone, notification, photo-library, Bluetooth, or account access. Apple’s system photo picker appears only when you choose a feedback screenshot, so QSOSlate does not receive broad photo-library access.

Children

QSOSlate is a general-audience productivity utility and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Policy Changes

We may update this policy when QSOSlate or its data practices change. The current version will remain available on this page with a revised update date.
