Your puzzles, rosters, stage templates, attempts, split times, penalties, and notes stay on your device. Only optional feedback and anonymous Pro purchase verification use the network.

The short version
Puzzle Data PieceSprint Handles
PieceSprint stores the puzzle names, brands, piece counts, stage templates, optional roster names, attempt modes, elapsed and paused times, stage splits, penalties, completion or DNF status, dates, and notes that you enter. These facts are used only to run and review your physical jigsaw practice.
Local Storage
Your PieceSprint library and race history are stored locally in the app's private container on your iPhone or iPad. PieceSprint has no account, cloud sync, advertising, or analytics and does not upload puzzle records to ApplyAI servers.
Exports, Backups, and Imports
Pro CSV exports and validated JSON backups are created only when you request them. You choose where to save or share each file. PieceSprint reads a backup only after you select it, previews its contents, and asks for confirmation before replacing local records.
Optional Feedback
If you submit in-app feedback, PieceSprint sends your message, optional email address, selected screenshots, app version, operating-system version, device model, locale, and App Attest security proof to the ApplyAI support service. We use this information only for support, defect investigation, abuse prevention, and app improvement.
Selected Screenshots
PieceSprint can access only images you explicitly select with Apple's system photo picker for a feedback report. Removing or cancelling a feedback draft requests deletion of uploaded draft screenshots; unattached draft uploads are automatically removed after 24 hours.
Diagnostics and App Attest
PieceSprint includes no third-party analytics or advertising SDK. App Attest supplies app and device integrity evidence for optional feedback submissions and is used for abuse prevention, not cross-app tracking.
PieceSprint Pro Purchases
Apple processes the USD 0.99 non-consumable purchase. PieceSprint verifies Pro by sending the Apple-signed transaction evidence and a random installation UUID to the ApplyAI API. We retain product, transaction, revocation, and entitlement records only to unlock or revoke Pro and support Restore Purchases. No account, email address, puzzle record, advertising identifier, or tracking data is included.
Retention and Deletion
Local PieceSprint data remains until you reset it, replace it with an import, or remove the app. Exported files remain wherever you chose to save them. Submitted feedback is kept only as reasonably needed to respond, investigate defects, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.
Permissions
The core timing workflow requires no camera, contacts, location, microphone, photo-library, notification, or account access. Apple's system photo picker appears only when you choose a feedback screenshot, so PieceSprint does not receive broad photo-library access.
Timing Boundary
PieceSprint records the timer actions, stage splits, pauses, penalties, and completion status you choose. It does not certify official competition results, detect physical puzzle progress, or independently verify a participant's identity or performance.
Children
PieceSprint is a general-audience puzzle and timing utility and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Policy Changes
We may update this policy when PieceSprint or its data practices change. The current version will remain available on this page with a revised update date.
