LocalAI is an on-device model workbench for iPhone and iPad. This policy explains the information version 1.0.1 stores locally and the network access used for model downloads.
Privacy at a glance
Prompts, responses, model status, and chat history stay in the app's private storage on your device.
Data LocalAI handles
LocalAI handles the prompts you enter, responses generated by the selected model, per-model chat history, the selected model, and model preparation status. This information is used only to provide the app's local features.
Third-party model downloads
When you choose to prepare a model, LocalAI connects to the model repository identified in the app and downloads model files and metadata. The repository provider may receive standard network information such as your IP address and request details under its own privacy policy. Chat prompts and generated responses are not sent as part of model downloads.
Local storage and processing
Chat history and model state are stored in the app's private Application Support directory. After a compatible model is available, prompts and responses are processed on your device. ApplyAI has no backend that receives this content.
No account, ads, analytics, tracking, sale of data, or ApplyAI cloud service is used.
You decide when to download a third-party model and can clear each model's local chat history.
