LaneSlate
Private multi-lane swim timer
The short version
Timing Data LaneSlate Handles
LaneSlate stores the session title and notes, course and distance settings, lane labels, shared start, split and finish touches, pause and resume events, completion state, and correction history that you enter. It derives objective elapsed, segment, fastest, slowest, and average timing facts from those records. LaneSlate does not provide health, training, safety, or performance advice. Each valid touch uses the configured split distance. Voiding a mistap renumbers later touches; no missing touch or finish is invented. The original time is never changed. Saving appends a correction; a voided touch can be restored. Review and corrections stay on this device. Sharing is initiated by you.
Local Storage
Your timing ledger is stored locally in LaneSlate's private app container on your iPhone or iPad. LaneSlate has no account, cloud sync, advertising, or analytics and does not upload timing records to ApplyAI servers.
Backups, Imports, and Sharing
Readable text, CSV files, and checksum-verified complete backups are created only when you request them. You choose where to save or share each file. LaneSlate reads an import only after you select it, previews counts and conflicts, and validates its schema, checksum, references, and timing invariants before merging or replacing local records.
Optional Feedback
If you submit in-app feedback, LaneSlate sends your message, optional email address, selected images, app version, operating-system version, device model, locale, and App Attest security proof to the ApplyAI support service. Sessions, lane labels, splits, notes, exports, and backups are not included. We use submitted information only for support, defect investigation, abuse prevention, and app improvement.
Images You Select
LaneSlate can access only images you explicitly select with Apple's system photo picker for a feedback report. Selected images are re-encoded before upload. If a submission fails after a temporary upload, LaneSlate requests deletion with its one-time deletion token; unattached draft uploads are automatically removed after 24 hours.
Diagnostics and App Attest
LaneSlate includes no third-party analytics or advertising SDK. App Attest supplies app and device integrity evidence for optional feedback submissions and is used for abuse prevention, not cross-app tracking.
Paid App Store Download
LaneSlate is a USD 0.99 paid App Store download, with Apple-equivalent prices in other regions. Apple completes the purchase before installation. The app contains no in-app purchase, subscription, paywall, receipt, or transaction verification, so LaneSlate sends ApplyAI no purchase data.
Retention and Deletion
Local LaneSlate data remains until you clear it, replace it with an import, or remove the app. Exported files remain wherever you chose to save them. Submitted feedback is kept only as reasonably needed to respond, investigate defects, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.
Permissions
The core timing workflow requires no camera, contacts, location, microphone, notifications, photo-library, Bluetooth, Health, or account access. Apple's system photo picker appears only when you choose a feedback image, so LaneSlate does not receive broad photo-library access.
Children
LaneSlate is a general-audience sports utility and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Policy Changes
We may update this policy when LaneSlate or its data practices change. The current version will remain available on this page with a revised update date.
