The short version
Inventory Data HearthProof Handles
HearthProof stores the homes, rooms, item names, categories, serial numbers, purchase details, values, currencies, notes, receipts, photos, and documents you enter or attach. It uses that information only to organize your inventory, highlight evidence gaps, and create reports and backups.
Local Storage
Your inventory database and attachments are stored locally in the HearthProof app container on your iPhone or iPad. HearthProof does not require an account and does not upload or synchronize this library to ApplyAI servers.
Exports and Imports
CSV, PDF, and complete backup files are created only when you request them. You choose where to save or share them. HearthProof reads a backup only after you select it and validates its structure and attachments before merging or replacing local records.
Optional Feedback
If you submit in-app feedback, HearthProof sends your message, optional email address, selected screenshots, app version, operating-system version, device model, locale, and App Attest security proof to the ApplyAI support service. We use it only for support, defect investigation, abuse prevention, and product improvement.
Selected Photos and Documents
The system photo and document pickers grant access only to files you deliberately select. Item evidence is copied into local app storage. Feedback screenshots are uploaded only when attached to a submitted report; cancelled or removed draft uploads are deleted, and unattached uploads expire after 24 hours.
Diagnostics and Security
HearthProof does not include third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. App Attest provides device and app integrity evidence for optional feedback submissions and is used for abuse prevention, not cross-app tracking.
Retention and Deletion
On-device records remain until you edit or delete them, clear the library, or remove the app. Submitted feedback is retained only as long as needed for support, reliability, and security. You may request deletion by emailing support@applyai.tech.
System Permissions
The core app works without camera, microphone, location, contacts, notifications, tracking, local-network, or full photo-library access. System pickers provide access only to the photos and documents you deliberately choose.
Children's Privacy
HearthProof is a general-audience household utility and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when HearthProof or its data practices change. The current version will remain available on this page with a revised update date.
