Your freezers, compartments, frozen batches, quantities, dates, notes, and stock history stay on your device. Only optional feedback and anonymous Pro purchase verification use the network.

Private freezer ledger
The short version
Freezer Data FrostLedger Handles
FrostLedger stores the freezer and compartment names, batch names, categories, integer units, frozen dates, optional target dates, notes, and append-only add, use, discard, correction, and reversal events that you enter. These facts are used only to organize your private freezer ledger.
Local Storage
Your freezer ledger is stored locally in FrostLedger's private app container on your iPhone or iPad. FrostLedger has no account, cloud sync, advertising, or analytics and does not upload the ledger to ApplyAI servers.
Backups, Imports, and Sharing
Readable text, batch CSV, event CSV, and checksum-verified JSON backups are created only when you request them. You choose where to save or share each file. FrostLedger reads an import only after you select it, previews its contents, and validates its schema, checksum, references, and inventory invariants before merging or replacing local records.
Optional Feedback
If you submit in-app feedback, FrostLedger sends your message, optional email address, selected screenshots, app version, operating-system version, device model, locale, and App Attest security proof to the ApplyAI support service. We use this information only for support, defect investigation, abuse prevention, and app improvement.
Selected Screenshots
FrostLedger can access only images you explicitly select with Apple's system photo picker for a feedback report. Removing or cancelling a feedback draft requests deletion of uploaded draft screenshots; unattached draft uploads are automatically removed after 24 hours.
Diagnostics and App Attest
FrostLedger includes no third-party analytics or advertising SDK. App Attest supplies app and device integrity evidence for optional feedback submissions and is used for abuse prevention, not cross-app tracking.
FrostLedger Pro Purchases
Apple processes the USD 0.99 non-consumable purchase. FrostLedger verifies Pro by sending the Apple-signed transaction evidence and a random installation UUID to the ApplyAI API. We retain product, transaction, revocation, and entitlement records only to unlock or revoke Pro and support Restore Purchases. No account, email address, freezer content, advertising identifier, or tracking data is included.
Retention and Deletion
Local FrostLedger data remains until you replace it with an import or remove the app. Exported files remain wherever you chose to save them. Submitted feedback is kept only as reasonably needed to respond, investigate defects, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.
Permissions
The core ledger requires no camera, contacts, location, microphone, photo-library, or account access. Apple's system photo picker appears only when you choose a feedback screenshot, so FrostLedger does not receive broad photo-library access.
Food-Safety Boundary
Target dates are optional organizing facts entered by you. FrostLedger does not predict expiry, determine whether food is safe to eat, provide nutrition guidance, or recommend eating or discarding any item.
Children
FrostLedger is a general-audience food-and-drink utility and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Policy Changes
We may update this policy when FrostLedger or its data practices change. The current version will remain available on this page with a revised update date.
