DoughCue is a fully offline sourdough starter and bake journal for iPhone and iPad. This policy explains what stays on your device and what you control.

Privacy at a glance

Starters, feedings, recipes, bake timelines, outcomes, and preferences stay only on your device.

We collect, sell, share, and track no personal or baking data.

You choose when to export, back up, restore, edit, archive, or delete every local record.

Data the app handles

DoughCue stores the starter names, feeding amounts, temperatures, tags, notes, recipe ingredients, planned phase durations, factual bake timelines, ratings, outcome tags, and preferences that you enter. These records are used only to calculate baker's percentages and organize your private journal on device.

Local storage only

All DoughCue records stay in the app's private container on your iPhone or iPad. DoughCue has no account, cloud sync, remote server, advertising, analytics, subscription, or network feature.

User-controlled exports and backups

JSON backups and CSV exports are created only after you request them and are passed to Apple's system share interface. You decide where they are saved or sent. DoughCue does not upload them or keep a server copy; a destination you choose may apply its own privacy policy.

No collection or tracking

DoughCue includes no analytics, advertising, remote configuration, tracking technology, crash-reporting service, or third-party data-collection SDK. We receive no app-usage, device, recipe, or baking data.

Optional local notifications

DoughCue requests notification permission only if you enable local phase reminders. iOS schedules those reminders on your device. Denying permission does not block timers, records, calculations, exports, or any other core feature.

Editing and deletion

You can edit or archive starters and recipes, delete bake records, or use Erase All Data after typing the requested confirmation. Deleting DoughCue removes its private local container according to the operating system's standard behavior.

Children's privacy

DoughCue is a general cooking record tool and does not collect information from anyone, including children. It has no account, communication feature, advertising profile, or child-directed data collection.

On-device security

Records use iOS app sandboxing and file protection. Device passcodes and device backups remain under your and Apple's control. Protect exported files and share them only with people or services you trust.

If DoughCue's features or data practices change, this page will be updated before a new practice takes effect. The latest revision date appears above.
