AstroDocket

AstroDocket

Private offline astronomy log

At a glance

Your AstroDocket records are stored in the app's private container on your iPhone or iPad.
Optional feedback sends only the message, contact address, screenshots, and limited diagnostics you choose.
You can edit, export, restore, erase all local data, or remove the app at any time.

Observation Data AstroDocket Handles

AstroDocket stores equipment names and optical details; manually entered places and sky conditions; session times; target names and optional catalog identifiers; object types, methods, seen results, optical details, notes, corrections, void and restore events; and imported backup fields that you enter. These facts are used only to maintain your private observation log.

Local Storage

Your equipment library, observation sessions, history, audit timeline, and facts are stored locally in AstroDocket's private app container. AstroDocket has no account, cloud sync, advertising, or analytics and does not upload these records to ApplyAI servers.

Backups, Imports, and Sharing

Readable text, RFC 4180 CSV, and checksum-verified AstroDocket backups are created only when you request them. You choose where to save or share each file. Imports are read only after you select them, validated, and previewed before merging or replacing local records.

Optional Feedback

If you submit in-app feedback, AstroDocket sends your message, optional email address, selected screenshots, app version, operating-system version, device model, locale, and App Attest security proof to ApplyAI support. Equipment, sessions, targets, history, facts, and backups are not included. A successful submission shows its reference and can be withdrawn from the same screen.

Selected Screenshots

AstroDocket can access only images you explicitly select with Apple's system photo picker for feedback. Removing or cancelling a draft requests deletion of uploaded draft screenshots; unattached drafts are automatically removed after 24 hours. Withdrawing submitted feedback deletes its associated screenshots.

Diagnostics and App Attest

AstroDocket includes no third-party analytics or advertising SDK. App Attest supplies app and device integrity evidence for optional feedback and is used for abuse prevention, not cross-app tracking.

Paid App Store Download

AstroDocket is a USD 0.99 paid App Store download, with Apple-equivalent prices in other regions. Apple completes the purchase before installation. The app contains no in-app purchase, subscription, paywall, receipt, or transaction verification, so AstroDocket sends ApplyAI no purchase data.

Retention and Deletion

Local data remains until you clear it, replace it with an import, or remove the app. Exported files remain wherever you save them. Feedback is kept only as reasonably needed for support, defect investigation, abuse prevention, and legal obligations, unless you withdraw it sooner.

Permissions

Core observation features require no camera, contacts, location, microphone, notifications, photo-library, or account access. Places and conditions are entered manually. Apple's system photo picker appears only when you choose a feedback screenshot, without broad photo-library access.

Children

AstroDocket is a general-audience reference utility and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Policy Changes

We may update this policy when AstroDocket or its data practices change. The current version will remain available here with a revised update date.
